Hey friends! Britney here with a with a very punny card featuring My Favorite Things products (Joyful Giraffe and Giraffe Sentiments). I saw Laura Bassen make a card using these products. I thought the sentiment was so punny, I had to order them and make a card right away.
If you’ve ever read any of my previous blog posts before, you know I like to start with my background first. I used the largest of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables for the green sheet of paper from Lawn Fawn’s Really Rainbow Scallops 6x6 Paper Pad and the largest of the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I used Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy Stencil and Kiddie Pool ink to make the clouds. Then I splattered on some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink.
I cut the MFT’s Joyful Giraffe using a variety of Lawn Fawn cardstocks and shaded them with a variety of Lawn Fawn inks. I assembled my giraffe and popped it’s head up with some foam tape on the card base. I added some white highlights using my gel pen and accented the eyes and nose with my black glaze pen. I cut a scrap piece of Lawn Fawn Noble Fir cardstock using the largest of the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables and Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders. I wanted the use the green cardstock as my trees. Before attaching my “trees” to the card base with foam tape, I embossed a sentiment from MFT’s Giraffe Sentiments.
For the inside of my card, I stamped sentiments from the MFT’s Giraffe Sentiments using Lawn Fawn Artichoke ink. I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day!
