Hi crafty friends! It's Beata June here and I'm sharing this dino-mite project using Mama Elephant stamps.
This project features:
The colors I used were inspired by this month's brimoodboard:
First things first, I stamped out the cute little dinos from the Mama Elephant Little Dino Agenda stamp set and the big dino from the Mama Elephant Me and My Dinosaur stamp set on white cardstock using a Gina K Amalgam Ink pad, and colored the dinos with copic markers to match the moodboard colors. I cut out my colored dinos and then set them aside.
Next, I cut out the film strip from black cardstock using the Whimsy Stamps Film Strip Die. Then I cut out another film strip with white cardstock for the three panels for my film strip. I blended the three film strip panels using distress oxide inks with colors inspired by the brimoodboard: for the background for my top and bottom frames I used Wilted Violet and Speckled Egg distress oxide inks; for the middle frame I used abandoned coral, festive berries, and twisted citron distress oxide inks.
Then I splattered my frames with citron, blue, coral and purple paint to match the moodboard colors.
I added grass to my top and bottom frames by cutting out a stitched hillside from white cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Slimline Simple Stitched Hillside Lawn Cuts die and blending that with twisted citron distress oxide ink, splattered them with paint, and glued the grassy hillsides to my top and bottom frame using a Lawn Fawn glue tube, cutting off the excess edges from the grass so that they fit the film strip frames. Next, I glued the black film strip and my blended frames onto a piece of white cardstock, and then glued on my colored dinos using a Lawn Fawn glue tube.
I added little speech bubbles saying "rawr" and "roar" using the sentiments from the Mama Elephant Little Dino Agenda stamp set and the little clouds from Mama Elephant Circle of Friends stamp set, which I colored with blue copic markers.
Then I added little coral colored hearts to my top frame which I stamped out using the tiny hearts from the Mama Elephant Circle of Friends stamp set. I added a palm tree to my middle frame and volcano to my bottom frame which I stamped from the Mama Elephant Little Dino Agenda stamp set.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment "You are truly dino mite" from the Mama Elephant Me and My Dinosaur stamp set onto my bottom frame using a Gina K amalgam ink pad.
Here's another look at my finished dino mite slimline card:
