Hi Butterfly Reflections Ink Friends!
It’s Erica here, guesting for the BRI blog today, with a butterfly card, of course!
I started out by stamping the butterflies from the brand new Butterflies stamp from Pinkfresh Studio, with Blackout Ink, on Ranger water colour paper. I like that paper because it’s bright white. I also heatembossed it with clear embossing powder on top, as I was planning on adding some colour to it with a mix of Sweet Petunia Pink, Shark Tooth White and Liquid Pixie Dust.
If you want to make shimmery water colors, make sure you get some of that magical Liquid Pixie Dust! Add a drop or two to a palette with a few drops of re-inkers of your choice. Easy peasy!
While that was drying, I worked on a background with the Diamond Motif slim line stencil and Distress Oxide inks in Kitsch Flamingo and Iced Spruce. I used blending brushes to give a soft look, and did this on Bristol Smooth paper. This piece was trimmed down to be just a tad smaller than an A2 card base, before I used a tape runner to adhere it.
One last little thing was to add some bling: Sparkling Clear sequins adhered with some liquid glue were just the ticket.
I hope you enjoyed this post and this card! I have linked as many products as possible to the shop, or good alternatives. Happy shopping and happy crafting from Erica
