Hi all, it's Peter here! I'm back with a very cheery slimline card. I went with some bright colors that give me a summer feel.
I recently got the Let's Go Nuts set from Lawn Fawn and I figured it was about time that I used it. I'm loving the snow globe out of the Ready, Set, Snow set so I made sure I used that too in my scene!
I use the regular coordinating die to cut out the globe and I use the background die in the Shaker Add-On to cut out the inside. Doing it this way, it doesn't get a big border like with shaker die alone, since I'm not making a shaker out of it. Next to images from the Let's Go Nuts set, I also used the Big Acorn set. The background in the globe is made with the Cloudy Stencil.
I filled the scene with flowers, mushrooms, branches, leaves, grass and bugs from all kind of sets; Oh Gnome!, Gleeful Garden, Fairy Friends, and A Bug Deal.
The background is blended with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass. I made the grass with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I cut it with the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders.
Out of two different bright pink cardstocks, I used the Scripty Congrats to add a sentiment to the scene.
I love how the card turned out! It's a very full scene which is a lot of work, but every once in a while it's fun to make something like this. Of course you can always simplify!
Hopefully I could inspire you with my card and I wish you a lot of fun crafting this week.
Peter
