Hello! Today I'm sharing a slimline card with the new hibiscus and tropical leaves sets from Lawn Fawn. As soon as I saw them I knew I had to get them. You can do so many things with them and this is just one example.
I used Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait on some Peacock cardstock and Small Slimline with Lift the Flaps on some white cardstock. I ink blended the white piece with Salvaged Patina oxide ink and the new tropical leaves background stencils. While that was drying I started die cutting all of the leaves and flowers from:
- Magic Iris Tropical Leaves Add-On
I used the following cardstocks for the flowers and leaves:
- Cilantro
I wanted to darken up the edges a little bit with some distress ink. You could also use the oxide version. The colors I used to match the cardstock were:
Rustic
Wilderness
I glued all of the pieces on my inked panel with liquid glue,
only the large hibiscus flowers were popped up with a few thin
foam squares. I also adhered my inked panel onto the scalloped panel.
After everything had found a place on my card I stamped the sentiment. First I prepped the cardstock with my anti-static pouch. Then I stamped ‘happy birthday to you’ from the Happy Happy Happy stamp set with some clear ink. I added some white embossing powder and melted it with my heat gun. Once that was done I adhered the panel to a white card base and then the card was all done.
I’m very happy with the result and I hope you like it too. Have
an amazing week!
Hugs,
Leontine
