Happy Monday friends! Gladys here with a fun slimline card featuring Mama Elephant products. To begin I stamped and colored the images from Everyday Monkeys using alcohol markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Next, I used the scalloped slimline die from Slim Window Dressing to cut from Bristol smooth cardstock. I used tape to mask along the stitched line to give a nice white border on the panel. I inked the panel using distress oxide inks in the color twisted citron, cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, and mermaid lagoon. To give interest I splattered water droplets, diluted mermaid lagoon and white gouache using a small paint brush.
While the inked panel dries, I started on the sentiment. I white heat embossed part of the phrase on black cardstock. For the letters I used the Headliner Alphas to create the word "BANANAS!". I cut each of the letters twice on white cardstock and once on woodgrain cardstock. I glued them all together to give dimension. I adhered the images with a combination of liquid glue and double sided foam tape. For final touch, I used a white gel pen to add some highlights.
That is all for me today. I hope you enjoy this card and found some inspiration. Thanks for joining me and have a wonderful week! Hugs!
