Hello, Friends! Allison here, and I'm so happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog. So, unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past month, you surely have seen the new Platform Pop-Up die set from Lawn Fawn. Right??! Well, I just got it recently, and I'm sharing my second make with it right here. By the way, Butterfly Reflections, Ink is offering 15% off all Lawn Fawn products through tomorrow, April 11th! Woohoo! Use code LFHBD15 in the online shop.
My card features the adorable Bake Off stamp set from Clearly Besotted. And, there are a lot of other little additions. My first step was coloring all of these adorable critters and kitchen elements with my Copic markers. The featured baked good is the cupcake from the Mice Day to Celebrate stamp set from My Favorite Things. I also used the chair, stool and bunting flags from that set.
Other details I added include the shaker bottle and butter stamps from Lawn Fawn's Baked With Love stamp set, and the can of vanilla frosting from Lawn Fawn's Sprinkled With Joy set. All of these elements are so cute, but my favorite is that cracked egg on the floor - that is part of the Clearly Besotted set.
All of the sentiments, including the "happy" banner, come from a little stamp set from Clearly Besotted called "Piping Up." I must have received the last one of these from Vanessa because it's no longer in the shop. Sorry. BUT, if you look at any of the Clearly Besotted stamp sets, they're always full of cute little sentiments. I cut out the little sentiments with speech bubble dies from the Let's Chat die set from Mama Elephant. I fussy cut around the "happy" sentiment after white heat embossing it on blue paper.
Time to assemble the platform! I first stamped some white card stock with the Thick and Thin Background stamp from My Favorite Things. This is what I cut the main platform pieces from. I did also cut part of the platform die from some wood grain patterned paper from Lawn Fawn - that is what you see on the "floor." Assembly of the platform is really easy - Lawn Fawn has tons of videos on YouTube showing how to do it. I adhered all of my cute elements to the three tabs of the platform. For the bunting flags and the "happy banner," I hung them from two birch trees that are part of a die set from My Favorite Things. I have the older version of this exact set, but I'm thinking both may be retired. Vanessa still has the solid version in her shop. There are so many birch tree dies from other companies that she carries, too! I attached the little speech bubbles to some heavy acetate, so they look like they're floating. I finished the card by tying some jute twine around the platform.
The most fun part of this card is how it folds up, fits into an envelope, and then POP! The recipient gets an amazing surprise! I hope this card put a smile on your face today. Thanks for joining us.
Wishing you a crafty day,
Allison
