Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hi friends! Happy Monday...I'm excited to be sharing another project with you today on the blog. For my card today, I used a bunch of products from Hello Bluebird  to create this sweet card. To begin, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2", and ink blended my panel with  Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers  Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered clean water and Peacock Feathers(thinned out with water) with a paintbrush onto my inked background, and set aside to dry. Next, I cut the scalloped frame three times from white cardstock, using the Gallery Frame #2 Dies . I then used the Rainbow Sky Dies  to cut the rainbow and clouds. I assembled the rainbow and attached to the card base and trimmed off the excess. I placed the stacked rectangles on top and glued it down. Hey everyone, it's Julianne here back with a card I know Vanessa is going to love! I'm sure if you follow either Vanessa or I on social media you saw that I recently had the most amazing opportunity to visit New Hampshire and teach some classes at Butterfly Reflections. Teaching was amazing and I had fun spending my time with other crafters, but I have to say the best part was being able to SHOP! If you haven't had a chance to visit the store, I so recommend it. It was amazing seeing all the wonderful brands all together in one place. Hi Friends and Happy Saturday!! It is Dana here today and I am excited to be back sharing a project with you all. For my card today, I am combining a new stamp set from Reverse Confetti along with an older, but favorite die of mine. I started my card by making my card panel. I used the Reverse Confetti On The Curve Cover Panel and die cut it from a variety of colors. I then inlaid all of the pieces back into the negative spaces on the die in rainbow order...I love a rainbow background! Next, I stamped the images from the Reverse Confetti Crafty Critters Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers . I then used the Crafty Critters Die Set to die cut the images. Isn't that zebra just the cutest? To finish my card, I die cut a vellum circle with the MFT Die-namics Stitched Circle die . I know, I know.  Crafters have moved on from Valentine's Day projects, but it's actually Valentine's Day so I had to share one last card!  I made this "Galentine's Day" card for a friend of mine whose husband is deployed.  I'm pairing it with some bath bombs, so I used an underwater theme and, for this non-traditional card, I went with a more non-traditional color palette than the usual reds and pinks associated with Valentine's Day. I just love this peek-a-boo style card!  To start, I cut smooth Bristol card stock to 4.25 x 5.5" and used Lawn Fawn stitched circle dies to cut circles in random spots ... this piece will become the upper layer.  On a second piece of smooth Bristol card stock (also cut to 4.25 x 5.5"), I used mermaid lagoon and vintage photo Distress Oxide Inks to add color in the areas that would fall beneath the circles ... this piece will become the lower layer.  I also splattered some blue and brown acrylic paint o...

Hi Everyone! This is my last Valentine's Day card to share here on the blog. Valentine's Day holds a special place in my heart, because my youngest daughter was born on V-Day and she had to spend 6 weeks in the NICU fighting bacterial meningitis before we brought her home. She'll be 6 years old this week and it's a total miracle that she's alive, that she isn't severely handicapped, and that she is happy and healthy. The doctors expected her to die and they also prepared us for severe handicaps if she lived, but the only issue she has is a slight short-term memory problem, which thankfully hasn't affected her ability to learn like a little genius. Oh, how I love her! I was never a big Valentine's Day fan before, but since she was born, I LOVE IT!  This card represents my idea of a perfect V-Day with my sweetie.
