Friends Forever Card by Sara

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the August BRI Mood Board Challenge.   As always, I am blown away by Amanda’s color palette, it is really really gorgeous. And this is my inspiration!    When I first saw the palette, I loved so much the combination but I couldn’t figure out how to use it. It is really particular, it has almost cold colors, so I knew I wouldn’t have used any brown critter. And then, showing the palette to my boyfriend, he said: northern lights! And he was totally right! I recently purchased those Penguin Pals from Pretty Pink Posh and they were just the perfect match to the background I had in mind.   Believe or not, I did my background using only 5 Distress Ink colors: Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves, Tumbled Glass, Shabby Sutters and Black Soot. I used Regular Distress Reinkers , but you could also use Distress Oxides ones (you will probably get a chalky and lighter result). I did some wet on wet technique onto ...

Hello friends Laura is here! This is my latest card for this amazing blog. I thought of creating this card with an fall theme, my favorite season, with special dedication to Vanessa for this opportunity. For this card I've cut a white cardstock an I've blended with distress oxide  STORMY SKY , FADED JEANS and CHIPPED SAPPHIRE. Blowing bubbles card with Annemarijn

Hi crafty friends! I'm back on the blog with two cute slimline cards using paperie ink stamps . It's the last blog 4 months where going crazy fast. Time flies when you have fun! Thanks Vanessa for this great opportunity and I loved making cards and blogpost for your amazing shop. First I started cut a slimline cardbase with the slim card basics from mama elephant  using the smallest die from the set. For the bubble background I used the bubble background stencil from lawn fawn with distress oxide in the color tumbled glass  (for the landscape one I also used white ink for the bubbles). Next I stamped the images from the stamp set and colored them with my copic markers . I also cut some grass with the grassy border from green cardstock.  Next I adhered everything together and stamped the sentiments. I also stamped some exploding bubbles from bubbles of joy because I think that's a cute effect. Have a great and crafty week! Lots of love, Annemarijn

Splashing awesome with Peter

Hi everyone! My term on the BRI design team comes to an end. This will not mean I will be completely gone, because I will pop-up once in a while. But I'm sharing my 'last' card in my term with you today. This time I played around with some Heffy Doodle. The images are so incredibly cute, I just had to make a card with them. I started with imagining how I want my (mini) scene to look like. I mostly used images from Highland Honeys , I only used the cloud and the sentiment from other sets. The cloud is from Fluffy Puffy Unicorns , I stamped that out with Memento London Fog by the way, I always love when clouds have a softer feel. The sentiment is from Pebble Sentiments , that set is amazing! I picked one out that I stamped with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers using my Misti . I stamped it a few times till I got a nice and crisp impression. I picked a fun patterned paper that I cut with the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables from Lawn Fawn. With the Outside In Stitched Rec...

Sending sunshine

Hello crafty friends, it's Veronica here! Today I have another summer card to share with you! It' a one-layer card and features some cute stamps by Hello Bluebird, that turned out to be my favorites of this summer! To create my card, I first stamped my images in Memento Tuxedo Black on a piece of Transotype paper. I colored everything with my Copic Markers   and tried to draw a beach scene inspired by some beautiful cards by Amy Young.  Then, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and added details with my white gel pen . Finally, I matted my panel twice. Once on a black card stock and once on a white one. Hope you like my card! From Italy with love, Veronica

Happy first day of school with Leontine

Hello! Last week I went to school pretty much every day of the week to set up my classroom. That’s why I felt like making this card, because I think we all know someone who’s getting ready to go back to school. I’ve got one week left and then the new year begins. But before that happens I’m going to talk you through how I made this card. First I stamped the crayon from Color My World with Lawn Fawn Jelly Fish ink six times. I colored them using my Copic Sketch Markers. The colors are: RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21, V17, V15, V12, V01, B04, B02, B01, B00, YG09, YG07, YG05, YG03, Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11, YR18, YR16, YR15 and YR12. I made two black stripes on each crayon with a Copic Multi Liner . I gave each crayon some white accents with a white gelly roll pen . I die cut the letters ‘school’ with Oliver’s Stitched ABC’s from some copic friendly paper. I colored each letter with the same colors as the crayon I want to put next to them.  To give it a blackboard kind of look I used t...
