A Floral Hello!

Hey, crafty friends! If you're stopping by cause you just can't resist a good floral card, then you and I will be besties. :) I don't really know the meaning of seasonal florals. Well, I do, but I break all the rules of seasons. When it's 20 degrees outside, I WILL be creating summer and spring florals because that what makes me happy. And if there's anything I've learned about cardmaking, it's that you should create what inspires you! If you've stayed with me through that long Public Service Announcement, then you've given me another reason to be your best friend. On to today's card! Although this card may look complex, it was actually pretty easy to put together. I stamped images from an Altenew set in multiple ink combinations and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I set them aside and then created the background. I cut and scored a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base from dark gray cardstock and then trimmed down an additi...

Beautiful Blessings

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a Wonderful Valentine's Day!! It is  Dana  here today with a set of cards using lots of products from  MFT Stamps . Today, I am using the sentiments in the  MFT Stamps: Beautiful Blessings Stamp Set  and the  MFT Stamps: Beautiful Blessings 2 Stamp Set . These sentiments are perfect for showing your love and support to your friends and family that might need a little bit of encouragement. I started my card by die cutting the  MFT Stamps: Heart Tree  from my white cardstock panel. I then mounted a piece of pastel green cardstock behind my die cut tree for the leaves. Next, I mounted my card front onto my A2 pastel colored card bases. I used  Gina K Design Connect Glue  for all of my glueing. The liquid glue allowed me a little time to get everything lined up, had a great hold, and can get into small detailed areas. Then, I die cut my tree trunk and three hearts from the same Heart Tree Die. I inlaid...

Valentine's Day Good Fortune

Happy Valentine’s Day crafty friends, Ashley D. here!   We’re currently snowed-in under 3 feet of snow, school's are closed, and we're surviving western Washington’s Snowpocolypse 2019 the best we can.   So to say our Valentine’s Day is a bit different this year is an understatement, but were making the most of it.   It’s our special holiday - my hubby and mine’s first date 17 years ago, at a Chinese restaurant in really small town.   And from that day on, every year, whether together or apart, we’ve enjoyed Chinese food on Valentine’s Day.   It’s our little tradition.   So when Lawn Fawn introduced fortune cookies for their annual birthday stamp last year, I knew I just had to have it!   Obviously, I’m a sucker for Chinese food themed stamps and these Year Eight cookies don't disappoint!   They also coordinate perfectly with the sadly, now retired, Lawn Fawn Good Fortune set.   Back in 2013 when Lawn Fawn introduced Good Fortune ...

Sweet As Honey

Hey there, Butterfly Reflections Ink. friends! So glad you stopped by.  Kathy here sharing a 'sweet' little project with you.  For my card, I first covered the front of the card base with Scotch double-sided adhesive .  Then, cut black cardstock using Reverse Confetti Hex Cover Panel .  Using the same cover panel, I cut the red gingham pattern from My Favorite Things Tiny Check paper pad and inlaid the hexagon pieces into the black cardstock piece.   The images are all from Honey Bee Stamps Sweet As Honey stamp set and stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  I paper pieced the jar with the gingham pattern from My Favorite Things Tiny Check paper pad and yellow paper from Reverse Confetti Pattern Play paper pad.  The flowers and bees are Copic colored.

Happy Galentine's Day - MFT

Good Morning crafty friends! Danielle here up on the BRI blog with a fun Valentine's Day card for you best crafty girl friend featuring the My Favorite Things recent February release! I was so excited to see this month's mood board for February because I just adored the soft colors.  I wanted to create a Valentine's Day card for a friend in non traditional Valentine's Day colors.  I started off ink blending my panel using Distress Oxides in Scattered Straw , Milled Lavender , and Weathered Wood.  Once I was done ink blending, I used the My Favorite Things Lots of Hearts Stencil and applied Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste over the stencil onto my ink blended panel.  To say that I am obsessed with this glimmer paste is an understatement! It creates such beautiful shimmer over any color it is applied to! It is a must have!!  Once dried, I used the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Heart Trio Shaker Window die and ran it through my die cutting machine twice...

Warm Friendship

Good day, BRI fans! Toni here today sharing a warm and cozy friendship card. I first sponged Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber and Wilted Violet over the Newton's Nook Plaid Stencil on the card base. This is a two-part stencil that allows you to position the two different grid patterns however you like for endless pattern and color possibilities. Love it! I next diecut the white panel using one of the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders ; it seemed a bit too white to me so I spattered it with the Distress Oxide Wilted Violet . Next I stamped the cute and whimsical Hero Arts Warm Animals with Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink . Be warned the CP Midnight leaves black on your stamps but it's such a crisp, lovely black on paper. I colored the critters with Copics .  Finally I stamped the sentiment in Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuschia . I LOVE that color! I also love the contrast of the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Borders curves against the straight lines of the Newton's ...

Happy ❤️ Day!

Good morning, everyone!  Amy Copeland here, guest designing.  Since it's almost Valentine's Day, I had to create a Valentine for my sweet husband.  I pulled together these products and the card came together relatively quickly--the most time-consuming part is the paper weaving, and even that doesn't take too terribly long.  :) I took a picture of the paper weaving to give you a sense for how I do it (see below)--I started with this adorable 6 x 6 paper pad by MFT Stamps-- Sweet Stack.   I used my paper trimmer to cut strips from every pattern in the paper pack, varying the widths.  I let the pattern be my guide for how wide to make the strips in some of the cases--on the teensy heart patterns, I made sure to include 2-3 full rows of hearts.  I cut two strips from each pattern.  Once I was finished cutting all of the strips, I picked out the patterns I wanted to include in the vertical row and laid them all next to each other with about 1 mm...
