Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hello everyone! It's Ashley ! I'm so excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog as a guest designer! I've missed it here! Today I have a super soft and sweet holiday card featuring new stamps from Sunny Studio! I just love using unexpected and nontraditional colors on holiday cards! I started by using the hills and trees stamp from Sunny Studio Scenic Route . I covered that up with some masking paper , then stamped the houses from the same set before covering those up with masking paper too. Now everything except the sky is protected and ready for ink blending! I used Distress Oxides in Milled Lavender , Victorian Velvet , and Spun Sugar for my sky. I added snow with Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrops stamped in VersaMark and embossed with white . I just love how it turned out! I removed the masking paper and colored the background with Copics , before die cutting the panel with the largest Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle. I used a bit of Gina ...

Welcome back this Friday my wonderful crafty friends!  Today I am using some Mama Elephant stamp sets  that I absolutely love!   How many of you, like me, buy lots of stamp sets because we can't live without them, but don't get to use them enough?!  Me, me, & me!  Last year I bought almost the whole Mama Elephant's  Christmas release and didn't get to create with them nearly enough so here they are! Hello! This is Tiffany and today I'm sharing my latest Halloween card using several items from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online store. I began my card by ink blending the background, I used a golden yellow and two shades of orange to create an ombre effect. I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Windy Backdrop to add a textured pattern, then I spritzed water and splattered orange and black paint on the background. I used Mama Elephant's Grid Window Cover and cut two pieces of black card stock, then I layered them on the ink blended background. I stamped images from Hello Bluebird's Tabitha , Halloween Fun , and Ghostly Greetings stamp sets in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I cut out the images and colored them with Copic markers. I used Tombo liquid glue and foam squares to assemble the card. I'll see you again next week! 

Hello friends!  This is Crystal here today and I am sharing two cards that I created from the same Newton's Nook Pumpkin Latte stamp set .  While I'm not actually a fan of the PSL, I've never met an overly nutmegged chai latte that I don't loooooooove!  And, I'll always say yes to pumpkin bread , pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup .  Basically, if there's any combo of pumpkin and sugar ( except for a PSL ) , I'm your girl!   : ) I have been seeing a lot of orange and teal color combinations for fall and I've been loving it, so it inspired me to create these cards in colors that I might not usually select together and I've very happy with the outcome. The base of this A2 sized card is made from teal cardstock.  I mounted a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of teal gingham paper from the Sunny Studios Classic Gingham 6" x 6" paper pack .  Using a framed die, I also cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper pack .  On this ...

Hi Everyone!  I'm here with another fall card to share with you.  This slimline card measures 3.5 inches by 8.5 inches and was inspired by the colors on the BRI mood board for October .  I hope you all play along this month!  There will be two giveaways this month so be sure to upload your creations! Using a large piece of Bristol cardstock, I ink blended the following distress oxide colors (top to bottom):   rusty hinge , victorian velvet , spun sugar , peeled paint and evergreen bough .  Then I splatted some water and corresponding inks on the background.  Then using the second largest rectangle die from the stitched rectangle frames die, I cut the cardstock.  You have to cut the cardstock very carefully and make sure not to cut sooner than you need (I usually keep the edge of the paper outside my cutting plate to achieve this type of cut). Hello friends! I'm sharing another card today that was inspired by the new Butterfly Reflections Ink mood board! What I was particularly drawn to was the little ghost image popping out from behind the pumpkins! It reminded me of a wonderful artist on Instagram @TheOfficialSadGhostClub . She creates adorable comics and puts meaningful messages on each one. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a fanart piece combined with the wonderful mood board inspiration. Something popular in the artist's world of Instagram is monthly prompt lists. Every day is a new word or subject matter to be inspired by however it comes to you. This month, The Sad Ghost Club put out a prompt list too. Today's word is Productive. It feels good to be productive, but sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves to be successful. Happy Sunday crafty friends, Ashley D. here!  So excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog today and share with you this fun modern fall card with inspiration taken from the new October BRI Mood Board and Sketch challenge.  I’m just loving all these somewhat non-traditional fall colors!   I was totally drawn to those super cool pink pumpkins, and the lovely dark greens and aqua!  For this card, I began by blending Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick inks onto two pieces of Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  I die cut one with the new Lawn Fawn Stitched Pumpkin Frame die, and the other with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Pumpkin die.   I then splattered both pumpkins with a bit of Light Gold watercolor paint from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors palette.  For the background, I adhered a piece of Lawn Fawn Let’s Polka In the Meadow - Dew Drop Line Dance paper to a white card base, framed with a white scallo...
