Snow & Mistletoe

Hello Crafty Friends & Happy Thanksgiving! This is Tiffany and I hope this post finds you doing well and that you were able to spend quality time with family and friends during this holiday week. I know for me, this time of year gets busy and I'm always on the lookout for simple holiday treats to make and hand out. I love that this hot cocoa treat is simple to make and can be used with any theme. I used several items from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online store to make my project. I began by cutting the red and kraft card stock. The measurement for the red card stock is 7 1/2  inches x 4 inches, scored at 2 1/2 inches. The measurement for the kraft card stock is 3 3/4 inches x 2 1/4 inches. I used Catherine Pooler's 'Tis the Season stamp set and Distress Oxide inks in Candied Apple , Evergreen Bough , Pine Needles , and Mustard Seed . Once I stamped the images and cut them out, I spritzed them with water and splattered them with gold and white paint. On the kr...

Thanksgiving Table Placards

Hi friends and Happy Thanksgiving Eve day!  This is Crystal here and, first, if you are traveling today (or anytime this week) I wish you safe travels and hope that each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family.  Today I am sharing some simple Thanksgiving table placards that were made using the Pretty Pink Posh Winter Wreath stamp set and coordinating dies .  Truth be told, Pretty Pink Posh also has an autumn wreath stamp set that would have worked for these placards too, but since I didn't buy that one, I was able to turn the winter wreath into more of a fall theme simply by using more traditional fall colors.  Use what ya have, right!?  I also didn't know the names of everyone who will be attending Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's house, so instead of personalizing the placards, I used various sentiments instead.     Project details:  These placards are 3 1/2" square.  I simply folded a ...

Bring on the Merry!

Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing this festive holiday card using stamps and dies from Hello Bluebird !  I love creating little scenes and these stamp and die sets from Hello Bluebird are so versatile.  You can easily mix and match old and new sets to create new scenes.   To start, an A2 size piece of Bristol smooth cardstock was cut using the snowy sky scene die .  Then using all that jazz and aquatini inks , I ink blended the top panel with a blender brush .  Then using the aquatini ink, I lightly ink blended the top section of the remaining two panels to suggest shadows.  Then the top panel was glued to an A2 size of heavy weight cardstock.   The two other panels were foam mounted to the panel.   White glaze pen was added to the edges to suggest ice/snow.   Images from North Pole littles were stamped using black ink and colored using copic markers.  White gel pen was used to add accents.  The images were...

Thankful Critters

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a fun food-filled scene in the spirit of Thanksgiving coming up this week! It's full of adorable critters coming together for the holiday to be thankful and eat way too much! To start, I stamped my images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock, except the trees which were stamped in Distress Ink Peeled Paint . Next, I colored my images and cut them out with scissors.  Then, I began creating the background by inking Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass on white cardstock. I used Lawn Fawn's Puffy Cloud Border Die as a stencil to create a cloudy sky. Afterward, I cut out some grass using Lawn Fawn Die Cut Meadow Borders and inked it with some Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn . I used Picket Fence Studios Blender Brushes for my ink blending. All of the stamp sets I used to build this scene are listed below: Wild For You Mermaid For You Fairy Friends Frosty Fairy Friends Oh Gnome Happy Harvest Critters Ever After Lovable Legends ...

Happy Ho-Ho-Holidays!

Hey friends! Britney here with a card featuring several Lawn Fawn products ( Ho-Ho-Holidays ,  Mini String of Lights , and  Rooftop Border ). I was really imagining Santa being excited and diving into a chimney, and then gifts flying everywhere after his dive. Let’s get started. If you’ve ever read any of my previous blog posts before, you know I like to start with my background first. I inked up my panel with  Chipped Sapphire  and  Blueprint Sketch  Distress Oxides. I think splattered it with white gouache and  Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust .   While I let my background dry, I started die cutting my roof. I die cut one piece out of white cardstock, which I used  Lawn Fawn Chili Pepper ink  and stencil to make the bricks. Then I cut a grey roof piece and two black roof pieces. I stacked and glued all of those together. Then I inked up my chimney with the same color and used some white gouache to make the “grout”.  Next, I...

Christmas Fishes with Davina

Hello crafty friends, Davina here to share an under the sea interactive card with you. I always buy tons of stamps that I have every intention of using, and eventually I get to them. Today I’m using Christmas Fishes from the Lawn Fawn winter release, that I really loved, and plan on using for many of my Christmas cards. For my color inspiration I used the November Mood/Color board, and water colored my images using colored ink refills and a water brush. The colors this month are a deep pomegranate red, Juniper green, a rustic pumpkin orange, and metallic gold. This color palette worked wonderfully for this card. I stamped my images from Christmas Fishes  onto Bristol smooth cardstock using a watercolor safe ink. Then carefully painted my images making sure there wasn’t too much water on my brush and picking up just a little bit of ink at a time. I have a lovely metallic gold watercolor but it’s not very opaque on its own. So I used a honey yellow ink first. Then went over i...

Flippin' Awesome Holiday Wishes

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Tiffany and today I'm sharing a Flippin' Awesome Holiday Card. I used several Lawn Fawn items from the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online store to create this project. I began by die cutting the pieces needed from Lawn Fawn's Flippin' Awesome , Flippin' Awesome Add-On , and Stitched Hillside Borders . I used white card stock and pattered paper from Lawn Fawn's Snow Day & Snow Day Remix paper pads.    I used images from Lawn Fawn's Ho Ho Holidays , Holiday Helpers , and Yeti or Not . The "Let it Snow" sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Winter Big Scripty Words . The images and sentiment were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Once the images were cut out, I colored them with Copic markers. I ink blended the blue backgrounds, spritzed water on them and splattered them with silver and white paint. I added Christmas Red Stickles to the Christmas Trees and white glitter to the holiday hats...

Sweet As Pie

Hi readers!  This is Crystal here today sharing a yummy Thanksgiving card using the new "Sweet as Pie" stamp set by SugarPea Designs.   This stamp set has my name written all over it.  "Sweet" and "pie" in the same sentence?  Yes, please!  It's no secret that I L-O-V-E-sweets and with Thanksgiving coming up next week, I'm thinking all things pumpkin and apple right now using this set.  The base of this A2 sized card is made from Kraft cardstock.  I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of plaid paper similar to that of the Echo Park My Favorite Fall paper pack and adhered this to the card base. Using the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame #2 die , I cut the frame from orange cardstock. I lined the back of the frame with a piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock.   I stamped the sentiment "You're as sweet as pie" in a brown ink directly onto the white base lining.  Next, I stamped the images from the "Sweet as Pie...

Snowflake kisses

Hi Everyone!  I'm sharing a colorful card I created using a few items from the new HelloBlueBird release .  You can find all the new sets at Butterfly Reflections Ink ! To start, I cut a piece of Arches hot press watercolor paper to A2 size.  Then, using distress stains I smooshed the colors on to the watercolor paper using a piece of acetate (you could substitute either distress inks or liquid watercolor to create the same look).  I choose a mix of yellows, pinks, oranges and reds to create this colorful look.  Then using gold ink , I splattered the background.  The panel was left to dry overnight.  Winter Woods Overlay die was cut from white heavy weight cardstock and adhered using liquid glue to the background panel.  The sentiment from first snow stamp set was stamped using VersaMark ink and white heat embossed .  The bunnies from first snow were stamped on a separate piece of Bristol cardstock using Versafine Clair in noctu...

Frosty Friends

Happy Monday friends! Cards are always great fun to make, but today I'm excited to be sharing some cute Christmas ornaments instead. I recently received the Lawn Fawn stamp sets Frosty Fairy Friends and Ready, Set, Snow from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop . I couldn't wait to use all of the adorable images in them, so I decided to mix and match sets to create these delightful decorations. To start, I stamped my images on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink . I wanted my snow globes to have dimension so I stamped out four in total. Next, I colored my images with some Copic Markers . After the figures were cut out, I assembled the mini-scenes using my Lawn Fawn Glue Tube.  Now to make them into ornaments! I began by punching holes at the tops of each globe using a one-hole puncher. Then, I added a double layer of foam tape to the back of each globe before attaching them to the blank globes. To create the hangers, I threaded ribbon through each hole and...

Just Sitting Here...

Hi all, it's Heather here with you today to share a fun card I created using some new goodies. I was so super thrilled to see this adorable Treehouse Scene die set from Hello Bluebird!! I knew I'd HAVE to have it and we can always count on Vanessa to have the latest and greatest of all things Hello Bluebird in the Shop !!! Here is a look at my card: I started this baby off by die cutting out 4 of the trees. 1 of them was cut out of Bristol Smooth paper and the other 3 were cut out of 80lb white cardstock . I gave the edges of the 3 white tree trunks a bit of ink using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a Blender Brush then inked up the entire tree that was cut out of the Bristol Paper using the same: Next I went to work stamping and Copic coloring the images from the Hello Bluebird First Snow Stamp Set I wanted to use this month's #brimoodboard for inspiration!!!! I know this is a wintery stamp set, but I wanted to create a fall scene so badly - and this Mood Boa...

Happy Holidays - Mama Elephant and Hello Bluebird

Hi there crafty friends and happy Saturday!   Jacquie here to share a sweet card using two of my favorite stamp companies.... Hello Bluebird and Mama Elephant ! To make this card I first stamped and colored the Oh Puppy Tree stamp from Mama Elephant. I used a lot of different Copic markers and also a white gel pen to add accents, and snowfall.  The entire background was colored with Copic markers , and then I brushed a little distress ink onto the edges.  The Hello Bluebird Winter Woods Overlay Die (such a great deal at $13.77!)  frames this cute image perfectly!  I added some birch tree bark, and Sparkle pen.  I added the sentiment to the top. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Peace, Jacquie
