Butterfly Reflections, Ink

Hello friends and happy Fri-YAY!  This is Crystal Komara here with you today.  Last weekend I was actually at the Butterfly Reflections Ink store in person and I was fortunate to be able to teach two classes to some beginner and regular card-makers in the area.  If you missed out, or weren't able to attend, please mark your calendars for June 25th and 26th because we'll be offering more card making classes in the store!  Be sure to follow Vanessa on Facebook and Instagram for all the details.   Today I am sharing one of the slimline classes we made in the first class using a variety of mixed products.  Currently I am so in love with all the floral stamps from Pinkfresh Studio , so the Leafy Decor stamp set is the main image on this card, but I did embellishment it with a word layering die from Honey Bee Stamps and I even an added sentiment from Newton's Nook Designs.  I love to combine products from all my favorite companies!  Please continue reading to see how I made th

Hi everyone, it's Peggy here for already my last post on this term in the BRI design team! I had so much fun and have even made new friends in the process. Thanks for all the love I've received on my makes and I hope I can keep inspiring you! On to some yummy birthday wishes for a little boy! I made today's card especially for my son's birthday. He is turning 3 years old tomorrow and desperately wanted a card for his birthday. How cute is THAT!? I always try to attune my cards to the recipient. My little one is a big dinosaur fan and is always playing ice cream parlor with me. I have to come up to whatever he is standing behind and tell him my order. I give him some make believe money in return and thank him for the ice cream. It is the sweetest thing. So, dinosaurs and ice cream it had to be! Hi crafty friends!  It's Beata June here with my last post for this term on the Butterfly Reflections Ink design team.  I am so thankful to Vanessa for all the fun these last few months and wanted to thank her and all you who have supported me with this Lawn Fawn bubble thank you card.  I used the following Lawn Fawn supplies to make this card: Lawn Fawn Bubbles of Joy stamp ( coordinating die available here ) Lawn Fawn Scripty Bubble Sentiments stamp  ( coordinating die available here ) Lawn Fawn Dandy Day stamp ( coordinating die available here ) I made this card by stamping out the various circle and heart shaped bubbles, wands and bubble container from the  Lawn Fawn Bubbles of Joy stamp set  and the thanks bubble sentiment from the  Lawn Fawn Scripty Bubble Sentiments stamp , and coloring them with light pink, yellow and blue shaded copic markers.  Then I stamped out the mice from the  Lawn Fawn Bubbles of Joy stamp set ,  Lawn Fawn Scripty Bubble Sentiments stamp set , and

Today is my last post for this fabulous design team. HUGE THANKS to Vanessa for the opportunity! I truly appreciate it. Now, onto this card. :) I chose the patterned paper from the Perfectly Plaid Remix 6x6 paper pad and pulled my colors for images from that. I used the Mushroom Border Dies , Grassy Hillside Dies , and Hillside Border Dies . The main images are from Gleeful Gardens set.  The little flowers are from Easter Party . The butterflies are from the Butterfly Kisses set. The clouds are from the MUST HAVE set All The Clouds . I colored all the images with my Copic markers. I added white details with a Gelly Roll Pen .  Hi everyone, Ashley here and I'm so excited to be back on the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog to share a card with you! I made this interactive reveal wheel card to send to my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Since we don't see them in person as much these days, we have been relying on Zoom to stay in touch, which is represented by this scene. They have a Boston Terrier, who I've placed in the room on the card, and on the computer are me, my husband, my cat Luna and my dog Indiana, saying hello through the screen! I started by assembling the background and interactive pieces. The background ("wallpaper") was cut out of a piece of Lawn Fawn Into the Woods Remix patterned paper using the Reveal Wheel die and Reveal Wheel Rectangle Add-On , but any patterned (or inked!) paper would work for this. The ground was cut using the same die from some Lawn Fawn Woodgrain cardstock and inked slightly with Distress Oxide ink in Weathered Wood . The wheel for the Reveal W

Hello crafty friends! Davina here with an interactive card using the April BRI Moodboard colors. I used tons of Lawn Fawn Goodies including the new  Swish N Pop Pulltab  die to make this shooting star shoot across the violet sky.  I don’t use my segmented frame dies as often as I’d like to, yet I continue purchasing them from multiple companies. So for this fun card I not only used my  Peek A Boo Background  frame, but I also designed a way to hide the pull tab mechanism on the lower half of the card, while leaving the upper segments intact.  I began by cutting the background frame die from textured white cardstock, then I cut two A2 sized panels from Bristol Smooth Cardstock. I inkblended one panel from light blue to a soft violet, then splattered with water, perfect pearls, and gold ink. I cut a strip of citrus colored cardstock with the  Grassy Hillside Border Dies  for the bottom segments, and inked a darker Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides onto the grass.  I stamped the unicorns and clo

Hey friends! Britney here with a with a very punny card featuring My Favorite Things products (Joyful Giraffe and Giraffe Sentiments).  I saw Laura Bassen make a card using these products. I thought the sentiment was so punny, I had to order them and make a card right away.   If you’ve ever read any of my previous blog posts before, you know I like to start with my background first. I used the largest of the  Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables  for the green sheet of paper from  Lawn Fawn’s Really Rainbow Scallops 6x6 Paper Pad   and the largest of the  Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables  from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I used Lawn Fawn’s Cloudy Stencil and Kiddie Pool ink to make the clouds. Then I splattered on some  Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide  ink.  I cut the MFT’s Joyful Giraffe using a variety of Lawn Fawn cardstocks and shaded them with a variety of Lawn Fawn inks. Hey crafty friends! It's  Julia  here! Today I want to share a fun night sky Reveal Wheel card with you! First I stamped my images from Super Star and Tree Before 'n' Afters onto Transotype Perfect Coloring paper and colored them in using  Copic Markers .   I die cut the Lawn Fawn  Grassy Hillside Borders  twice out of black cardstock as well as the the Reveal Wheel pieces out of bristol smooth cardstock. After that I ink blended the sky as well as the moving part of the Reveal Wheel with Milled Lavender , Shaded Lilac , Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide as well as Black Soot Distress Ink. I added lots of shimmery silver splatters using Finetec Metallic Watercolors .  I heat embossed my sentiment straight onto the lowest of the grassy hills. I also heat embossed lots of litte silver stars onto the background and I added different silver embossed constellations to the reveal wheel openings. So I am probably right wishing you a very merry unbirthday today! Thanks for visiting the blog to see how I made this Alice in Wonderland inspired card! I started by looking through my Lawn Fawn stamp sets to find stamps I could use for the Mad Hatter's tea party. I used Gleeful Gardens (plants, mushrooms), Bicycle Built for You (boy, girl and top hat), A Creature was Stirring (plates, cookies), Forest Feast (large tree stump, milk jug, mushroom), Octopi My Heart (bow tie), Easter Before and After (white rabbit), Den Sweet Den (book stacks, cups). I stamped everything using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with my copics. The boy was mirror stamped using a piece of acetate and I traced the lines with a black fineliner. It's Beata June here and I'm sharing this dino-mite project using Mama Elephant stamps.  This project features: Mama Elephant Little Dino Agenda stamp set  ( coordinating die available here ) Mama Elephant Me and My Dinosaur stamp set ( coordinating die available here ) Whimsy Stamps Film Strip Die The colors I used were inspired by this month's brimoodboard: First things first, I stamped out the cute little dinos from the  Mama Elephant Little Dino Agenda stamp set  and the big dino from the  Mama Elephant Me and My Dinosaur stamp set  on white cardstock using a Gina K Amalgam Ink pad , and colored the dinos with copic markers to match the moodboard colors.  I cut out my colored dinos and then set them aside. Next, I cut out the film strip from black cardstock using the  Whimsy Stamps Film Strip Die .  Then I cut out another film strip with white cardstock for the three panels for my film strip.  I blended the three film strip panels using distress oxide

Hello! For my card today I started with the background. I white heat embossed the fish from the Mermaid For You set by Lawn Fawn. Then I added lots of color with Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch. Then I stamped and colored the cute octopus from the Ocean Shellfie set by Lawn Fawn. The greeting is from that set as well. I used the Stitched Heart Stackables set and Stitched Square Stackables for the front panel. I finished it off with a few sequins.  I hope you're having a wonderful day.  Nikki   

Hey there, crafty friends!   It's Amanda Fitterer and I hope your weekend is going well!  Sundays are the best  for "hanging" out, aren't they?!  ;)  These silly sloths are sure enjoying it! To create this bright and happy card, I'm going to start by creating my background.  I'm blending Rustic Wilderness and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides.  To create a more textured background, I'm going to fleck water and some Rustic Wilderness (mixed with water) with a paint brush. I'm creating my frames using the Mama Elephant 6 Window Cover Die . Next, I'm going to stamp my images from the Silly Sloths by Sunny Studio Stamps .  Once I've stamped my images, I'm ready to color them with my Copic markers.  Once colored, I can cut them out using the coordinating dies . The last thing I need is a sentiment!  I am going to stamp my sentiment with Versamark Watermark ink on a scrap piece of black cardstock and then apply white embossing powder.  I am using my

Hi BRI friends, Sara here! I am back with a new card, inspired by the April BRI Mood Board Challenge . This color palette is so gorgeous, so vibrant and so colourful! And what’s better than a happy spring trip with the cutest friends? Today’s card features the super adorable Avery Elle “Birthday Bus” , which is ready to bring smiles to everyone’s faces! I firstly stamped the bus onto some copic friendly paper, cause I planned to create a one layer copic scene. I wanted to have a white space at the bottom of my scene, for my sentiment. I then drew some really simple trees in the background: when you have stamps like this one, whose design is really cute, you don’t need to be perfect or draw as it looks into reality, you only need to sketch as if it was a storybook scene.
